General Notes about Driving Instruction and ADI's
All ADI's receive a green card from the Department of Transport (similar to the one on this page) to signify that they are fully qualified, approved and registered.
The card will be prominently displayed in their Driving School car.
All ADI's are frequently 'check tested' by a Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Examiner. This is done while an ADI is conducting a normal driving lesson with a learner-driver of their choosing. After the assessment, the DSA awards each ADI a grade from 1 to 6.
It is an offence for anyone who is not a qualified ADI to charge for driving tuition.
Statistics show that more people pass their Driving Test after taking driving tuition with an Approved Driving Instructor.
